So today I was on the verge of breakdown – repeat of most of my days lately. I have a lot on the plate, a lot of things on the to-do, to-pay list and not enough on the me-time list!  I had just had a moment of gripping my head to stop the pounding when I decided to just get some things done. 

About 1/2 hour later one my intern (whom I haven’t talked to in about 2 -3 weeks) crossed my mind. I sent her a quick “r u ok” message and she responded overwhelmed as she is a single-mom and college-student with a similar story as I once had when I held the same occupation.   

I then sent her the following simple thoughts which not only helped her ( i hope) but helped me to in the process:

First things first – BABY is at the CAMPUS daycare? Convenient and a great environment! SMILE

BREATHE!!!!!

You are moving – may not be your dream house, may take a lot of energy – but you have a roof and there are many folks that don’t right now – you see it’s raining! SMILE

BREATHE!!!!!!

Math – who cares – learn it for the test – pass – move on and get an accountant and a calculator!!!
